NPD is from jan 2009 A YEAR OLD
130,000 in jan 2009 VC sales picked up since april nothing wrong

No, the Jan 2009 leak had VC at 74k.   The 130k is from November (not last NPD, sorry).

According to VGC almost half of the games current American sales came in the last 7 weeks. November data obviously doesn't isn't of much use here. Just wait for Sega to give their quarterly report.

The game's out of stock and pretty much every electronics and toy retailer (Wal-mart, Best Buy, TRU, etc), and has been for months.  Gamestop's the only major nationwide who seems to even carry it, and then even it varies store to store and is unavailable online.

What happens if it's not mentioned in the quarterly report?  Just like it's never been highlighted in any of Sega's IR reports after the Q1 2008 interim results (where Sega said domestic sales were "steady")?

Looks pretty available to me...

I was talking B&M.  NPD actually gets data directly from all those companies too now iirc (they made a deal with Amazon in... August was it?).  It'd be one thing if VGC was attributing the huge difference to say Wal-mart, but they're not stocking it online and the in-store locator seems spotty too (no copies within 100 miles of NYC, LA or Chicago?).  So where would the extra sales be coming from?
