Still, while I enjoyed both games immensely, I don't quite get the comparison. It's like comparing Command and Conquer to Mass Effect. They're not similar at all. A strategy game is nothing like an RPG. You can call Valkyria a Strategy RPG, but it has ZERO rpg elements!

i believe that a RTS has nothing to do with a RPG if ai mam mistaken comparing C&C to VC is like comparing apple to fish in LO case is like a green apple and valkyria a red apple

???

Well explain to me what Valkyria and Lost Odyssey have in common.  I admit that I haven't played LO in about 5 or 6 months, but I don't see the similarity.  I guess Welkin and Kaim both have the letter "k" in their names.  That's something.

VC has leveling up ,levels, exp you can aid your self you play in turns so in your thinking Final Fantasy tactis has no rpg elements YOU CAN 'T SAY AN RPG IS NOT AN RPG eitheer is has strtegy , or it turn-based or free-roam

FFTactics had classes, customizable characters, side quests, and such.  VC gives you a set group that you can improve by spending points.  I'd go as far as to say VC is more like a 3D version of Advance Wars than Final Fantasy Tactics.  My army looks exactly the same as your army.  My snipers are snipers.  My engineers are engineers.  What role do I play?  My army goes to a battlefield and I decide how to tackle the battle.  That's it.
