Indeed. The current gap is the smallest ever at 5.35m... so since the ps3 has been available it has sold more than the 360.
Even the most ardent PS3 fan must admit it is surprising it has taken 3 years for a Playstation to show its ability to outpace an Xbox.
Next goal is to actually ovcertake the 360 I guess. That could be tougher.

Are you talking about the slim ps3? You surely can't be talking about overall ps3 sales, because when the ps3 launched the 360 had already sold about 5.4 million consoles. The gap right now is 5.3X million, so the ps3 has finally managed to outsell the 360 since the ps3 launch. Only counting ps3 sales since the launch (not including what it sold before) and it only took +3 years. (For reference the Wii cleared that lead and the 360's total HW within a year)

Oh really? I don't see a 1.3 million lead there. (note these don't include the new Others numbers as they are not up as of this moment)
