One of Capcom's VP's on their forum had an interesting tidbit on profitability margins on a per hardware basis for UK vs US vs Japan.
No firm numbers unfortunately.

"It IS true that in Japan, prices are higher and there is no price protection than the US. At the same time, their prices are comparable to what we see in say, the UK (though the UK even has the potential for returns which is worse than even price protection).
So on a per unit margin basis, you're right, Japan is best followed closely by the UK. That said, we're talking about in which territory we'd rather show profit and again, on a consolidated basis, it should be considered irrelevant."
