Well I am certain there will be no God of War IV. Jaffe said it will explain why there are no more Greek myths, and they have said it is the end of the trilogy.
The problem with a spin-off is that Kratos is so so so central to the game, there aren't any other strong characters that you could have a spin-off with
I think another prequel is the best bet
