Ubisoft will never make that connection though. Even it was fully explained to them they still wouldn't get it. Though that's assuming they just don't understand but that isn't the case at all. They know why a game like Just Dance sold and why others didn't. They know full well it's the advertising but they don't care. They and others do seem to want to accept losses then actually put forth a serious effort.
However Ubisoft is going to destroy the little success they had with Just Dance by producing sequels. They are going to hurt that brand the way they hurt the Raving Rabids brand by pumping out sequel after sequel that are all pretty much the same game. People will stop buying Just Dance in the end because it will be the same game over and over again. Then they will complain again.
In the end 3rd parties have no right to complain about the sales because they haven't done anything that actually deserves high sales. They tried to pass off third rate games with no marketing majority of time with the wrong belief that "casuals" were stupid and would buy anything. They were proven wrong and they deserve the lack of success they are getting. They know full well have to have success on the Wii. There is no market to "figure out" either. They can play dumb all the way but they are only hurting themselves.
