They can be disappointed, but the manner in which they complain is utterly unprofessional. Honestly, games are the responsibility of the publisher, not the manufacturer of the platform that the game appears on. When PC games sell poorly, publishers blame the audience, not Microsoft. When games sell poorly on the Wii, they blame Nintendo. It is really illogical if not childish all together. Clearly there is a lot of industry envy in regards to the fact that Nintendo does so well on their own platforms.
Rather than third parrties being pleased with what they manage, they get upset that they don't do as well as Nintendo. They look for excuses and blame the fans and blame the console manufacurer rather than blaming themselves. Nintendo has nothing to do with a third party game not performing. They can scale back offerings, they can assert their disappointment, but all of this mudslinging is just pathetic.
