EA's plans are good, and they're no doubt what we'll see more of. No need to waste a bunch of money on high budget titles. Games that take advantage of the Wii's controller, mini games, and an emphasis on younger gamers is right where the Wii is at, and then just fill in the holes with ports of their most mass market franchises.

I think it's more that EA got caught off guard and can't get high budget games out for the Wii this year (they usually take more than a year to develop).  Since any big budget games are only a few months into development at this point we won't be hearing about them until later this year or early next year.  As for the announced gameds, only EA Playground is focused towards kids.  I'm not sure why some consider making kid games for kids to play is such a bad thing, I'm glad to see the next batch of 5-10 year olds won't have GTA as one of their first games.  Boogie seems more geared to adults and MySims to girls of all ages.  As a young male I'm not terribly interested in any of those games but as hard as it is for most young male gamers to accept, we aren't the only gamers in the world.  As for Animal Crossing's demographics, head over to an Animal Crossing fansite.  Most of the people in the forums are adult women.  That's not to say they outnumber the teenage and younger crowd but aside from maybe Brain Age it probably has one of the highest shares of adult female gamers.
