Exactly! I have Tekken 6 on PS3 with a better connection than my friend. When I play someone with an inferior connection the match is cut immediately. At my friends house after the patch for both systems were added and the Xbox Live version makes an effort to save the damned connection. I sat back and thought about how a thing like that ruined my online experience on the PS3.

That is such a variable type of statement.   First of all how is your connection better?  Faster? Better Upstream? Better Downstream?  More stable?   You could have the fastest connection in the world but it's unreliable as hell.   You could have been playing prime time on the PS3 and off peak time on the 360.  There is a lot of variables that will go into that.

Of course there are variables because listed specific games (Tekken 6 and NBA 2k10). Tekken 6 Definitely has better online on the Xbox 360 which is why my friend never bought it on the PS3 and my nearest two Play N Trades rarely ever play the PS3 version. The gameplay of NBA 2k10 on the PS3 is great, but when online hits its murder. I mean the online was better in 2k9 rather than 2k10 and well thought out as opposed (which isnt saying much), but there is a difference in online response.
