its funny how we just asume that none of the people that own 360 never owned ps2's. but i digress, ps3 becuase its leading in pre order charts.

who said that?  People are saying PS3 owners are more loyal to games that were previously on PS systems then 360 owners.  Some 360 owners had PS2s, but a higher percentage of PS3 owners owned a PS2.  The proof is in the sales, games that used to be ps2 exclusives do better by percentage than games that weren't.

Until Tekken 6, this never really resulted in higher PS3 sales though.  Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Soulcalibur, Burnout, Dynasty Warriors, Tomb Raider, etc... all sold better on 360 in America.

I think FFXIII will likely follow T6, but I wouldn't be that surprised if the 360 version ended up ahead either.

i realize that, but those games you just listed are far closer then the average game.  360 has a much larger userbase in the US. As time has gone on the gaps have been shrinking.  PS3 gamers have been more likely to buy Japanese games, more likely to buy RPGs, and more likely to buy previous Sony franchises.  There are very few games I would say this about, but i'm very sure the PS3 version will sell more in the US, and by a nice margin.

There are a lot of factors though, for example even though RE was a Sony franchise mostly during the PS1 era, the new RE style fits xbox gamers liking.

Soul Calibur and burnout shouldn't be on that list.
