A sizable "Blue Ocean" demographic that seems to generally go overlooked (and would be especially relevant in Japan) are lasped gamers. People who had Famicom or Game Boy way back as a kid, but eventually fell out of gaming. And outside Nintendo, I think 3rd parties have done a (generally) terrible job of courting this group, who I'd imagine would be pretty responsive to well done 3rd party games on Wii. I dunno how much this would've impacted a theoretical Wii FFXIII, the series had a marked shift when it went PlayStation, but then a Wii FFXIII likely would've been a much different product too. I actually tend to think a more nostalgic effort, maybe something more of a throwback, more similar to FFIX or Gaiden, would be better suited to Wii?
