I've tired to play Zelda:TP and it's just never interested me enough to keep me playing, it felt boring and what I really disliked was the fact that no one in the world speaks, I don't care if link is mute, but the rest of the world should speak, at least during important story moments.
So it's not so much that I dislike the zelda franchise, it's more that it's not my cup of tea.
The only Zelda which I found charming and absolutely no issue with the lack of voice acting was Wind Waker, I didn't play it my self, I watched my Sister play the game.
For some reason people disliked the game, but to be honest this is the style that zelda should have, I hope Nintendo returns to the Wind Waker style for Wii Zelda, perhaps then I may just give the franchise another go.
