Sorry but this might seem a bit like a rant but there is no need anyone needs to damage control what 3rd parties are saying I feel.

What do you scale back to when the initial effort was minor or crap to begin with? These companies are acting as if they had some huge effort on the system and were making tons of games for it. Much of what they did in the past was token gestures and shovelware they thought people were stupid enough to buy (they didn't). So when they say they are going to be focusing more on the PS3/360 one has to ask what they were focusing on before because it wasn't the Wii. When they say they are scaling back one has to wonder scaling back to what? Less of the crap they have tried to pass off on the system? They can't be scaling back high profile games because we haven't had any. The decent games they might have put out where sent out to die. So they can't scale back advertising since many don't even bother with that.

Even now here is talk of Ubisoft lower expectations for Red Steel 2. It was a huge unknown if they were treat the game seriously but the lowered expectations can only mean less advertising or even no advertising.

Capcom. Yes they have Tats vs Capcom and Monster Hunter 3 but even that's questionable. Nintendo had to step up in terms of advertising for the Monster Hunter 3 in Europe and most likely America too. This when it's the same Capcom that had no problem at all filling the airwaves with ads for Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 4. The Tats vs Capcom ad that is out only has what 6 seconds if not less of actual gameplay footage and the rest of the 30 seconds ad looks like a damn Robot Chicken episode.

Konami said up front they were doing nothing at all to push or advertise Silent Hill. If they did that to that game and then they will continue to do it for anything else coming out of it when it comes to the Wii

EA.... The EA Sports section is the only one doing a decent job thought they did seriously screw up Madden and that still makes no sense. Outside of that EA has been a huge disappointment.

Sega is worthless now. The Conduit was fun but they only published that and the bulk of the work was done before they came on board.

Square-Enix is all over the place. They will go to the highest bidder and had to due to the amount of money they put into FF13. They are using the DS as a dumping ground for their old games in a way. At least they initially were with the GBA. The remakes have some effort into them. However they tend in a way send Crystal Bearers out to die and seemingly didn't bother explaining to the gaming press outfits what the game actually was leading to reviews all over the place.

Nah. Third party developers/publisher deserve all the hate negatively directed at them I feel.
