Hmm... I'm going to say the Wii, slightly. I noted that when FF13 was announced, there was a rash of people buying PS3s in anticipation for the game. I do believe this same thing would have happened had it been announced for the Wii. The FF fanbase is... fairly rabid about following their series, and would go (a good chunk blindly, I might add) to whatever system would have the series, as indicated by the rash of PS3 sales.

So why do I give it to the Wii? The install base in Japan is tilted fairly strongly toward the Wii, and it would be moreso if it had FF13. And, with FF in Japan, coupled with the coming DQX, would result in even more systems sold, and more people picking up both games. (Yes, I do think had FF13 been Wii exclusive, it would help DQX sales also.) So Japan would see a strong leaning toward the Wii for sales.

As for worldwide, I think it would be about unchanged. Yes, there would be some lost sales from people whining about graphics. But I do think this would be offset by knowing that both DQ and FF would be on the system (despite DQ's weaker pull outside Japan- the S-E fanboys), and while there are more HD systems, I also could see the "casuals" (as some here like to call them) wondering what this game is, why it's so popular (the number 13 will entice some people), and buy it. The HD market is more "hardcore" (again, as some here would say), and thus more people know what they want to buy beforehand. There's a better potential for marketting to the Wii, and given that S-E wants this game to sell, I think it would go against standard grain, and actually see advertising. So sales would be about even outside of Japan, leaving only Japan to make up the difference, or, in this case, increase.
