Given the pent-up demand, only supply constraints will lead to lower Wii sales in the coming months. I cannot remember any console still being this "hot" in its second Christmas/Holiday season. And I am old enough to remember EVERY system.
At this rate, it may be 2009 before you can walk into a store and find a Wii readily. (There was a few weeks in April when this occured -- that's when I bought mine).
Also, the Wii appeals to Baby Boomers and people with kids -- people who normally have not been the biggest game buyers. That may help explain the lower attach rate -- and the higher demand.

I am Mario. I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
