yup actually you are right you can compare PSO and monster hunter but NOT ff11 as you need a oline service so that still counts

Also  FF12 is 2.41 mil n japan and im pretty sure ff13 will match those sells and even if it falls short its still VERY close for a system with half the userbase. it will get a best versoin and its still selling 50k (almost) a week. point is you have no proof ff13 would match anything as the highest selling 3rd party game in japan is on ps3 NOT Wii. this gen.

Well, Wii entries of other popular series seem to be generally matching or exceeding PS2 entries (Monster Hunter, DQ spinoffs, Taiko no Tatsujin, Biohazard Chronicles/Gun Survivor, etc).  The only ones that aren't seem to be franchises that have fallen off completely and/or are given higher priority on other platforms (Tales, Musou, Winning Eleven, etc). I'm pretty sure DQX will match or exceed DQVIII too.  I expect it'd have been the same had FFXIII been a Wii game.

As for FFXIII PS3, it's about 1.8m now and slowing precipitously.  I think it can crawl to 2m before it dies off completely, but not near the 2.3m FFX/XII managed.  They should've released the 360 version, then I think it could matched PS2 numbers.

Finally, while not always the rule, ratio arguments tend to inherently favor smaller userbases.  It's almost always easier to achieve a higher ratio on a smaller base.  For FF, well it's one of the top current series in Japan, with a built-in audience who'll essentially follow it anywhere.  If it were 360 exclusive it'd have still probably sold over a million (and more than MH3).

MH3 held the record for a while though, which it took from MGS4, which it took from DQ Swords.  Now FFXIII's taken it, and it'll probably hold on to it until DQX takes it (and probably doubles it) for the final time...
