I believe it is safe to say that at the very LEAST, in game graphics will be up to par with FFXIII, but may end up slightly better since it's being built from the ground up as a PS3 exclusive (whether it stays that way has yet to be seen, but I am hoping so). My expectations are as follows: KH style gameplay with a good amount of exploration/sidequests, dark theme, good story even if it becomes a truly shakespeare style tragedy, multiple endings (wishful thinking). I don't think my expectations are unrealistic. 

Those are very realistic...especially graphics. I mean, for all we know there is still 2 years till it releases. So yes, there's a good chance the graphics will look better cause the game will be years newer. You're other expectations also seem realistic.

What I was specifically reffering to was all the people who *suddenly* always thought Versus looked better than XIII. Or people who plan on buying XIII, without having seen thing, but don't even intend to try XIII. Why were all these people hiding when FFXIII was still a PS3 exclusive? Back in those days, I didn't hear a single person say Versus>XIII. Now, it's pretty much become the norm among PlayStation fans among the forums. It really bothers me as a PS fan myself to see such utter fanboyism.

Perpride, when I saw versus running real time in the trailer that came with that Final Fantasy XIII demo you had, I knew from then it looked better; just look at Noctus walk, his clothes are so fluid moving :).  And when I saw XIII in action and they were using the low res battle models for cutscenes I felt VS was more refined.  How much XIII improved since the demo only you can answer that and it's probably a lot.  But I will say Lightning looked a decent amount better before development of the game switched to PC if VS can keep up that level of detail then I think we'll be in a treat.
