Why would you play in such a cheesy way even if it worked 100% of the time? Such a cheesy, slow way?

I do that when rl low on health :p

That's fair. Usually I either just take the death (since checkpoints are nice and plentiful) or concoct myself a mega green lollipop.

Found an easier way to take out opponents that is quite safe and a lot faster...

Run around and PKP with the katana...( I learned that in Alfheims..).

I reached halfway to verse 2 in Lost Chapter thanks mostly to that technic...

That lost chapter is insane, it's like Bloody Palace in DMC4 except  harder ( although supposedly if you beat the hardest game mode you get a weapon that should help a lot for Lost Chapter). Right now it's beat 50 waves of enemies with no heals ( first 10 normal diff, next 20 hard difficulty, last 20 infinite climax difficulty,  wave 40 is hardest jeanne x3.........).
