Just before the price cut at the end of September the Wii had sold 158,000 consoles WorldWide. The first week of the price cut Wii had sold 352,378 (+123%). Since then the Wii has never went down that number and the "next weeks" numbers were better than the "weeks before" numbers with only one or two expections for the rest of the year. NSMB wii was released in the US on November 15, Japan December 3rd and "Others" November 20. These are the numbers for the Wii for the months of November and December. I didn't talk about holiday boost because we all know that there was going to be one, but I am pretty sure that most of us didn't expect the Wii to sell that great. So in your opinion the success of the Wii for the last months of the year was due to the price cut, to NSMB wii, or to both.
