This was also said a couple of months before the Wii was announced regarding the Gamecube (which was undeniably in a vastly different situation sales wise, but still).
Ubisoft also said Assassin's Creed wasn't multiplatform and Sony said they weren't cutting the price, both were proven false within weeks of the last mention.
Take it with a pinch of salt!
