But didn't Microsoft "moneyhat" Square into making FF13 for the 360? That's like me paying you to mow my lawn but then charging you for using the lawnmower. |
I think it's more like you pay me a lawnmower, and i pay you back with part of the money i earn mowing other peoples lawn.
but there is other problems with multiple disks
most of all being the amount of Base-Data you need on the disc, its the data that needs to be the same on every disc, so it can run the game, the engine, character models, enemies..., the bigger a game is, the bigger this content gets, and then there is the space Microsoft requires for Copy-Protection and that is up to 2 GB. what is left can be used for gameplay, voices, movies, different content, but this ultimately limits the way a game can be designed.
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
