Wii Plus(?) in 2011 - First next gen console or current gen?

Nintendo already said that IF they release a new machine, it won't be "just" a Wii HD, so not simply a Wii with upgraded visuals. So the question's really not relevant. Also, Nintendo's not gonna release a new console next year.
