What about some titles which let you explore the systems capabilities?

House of the Dead (any title in the series) would be a good example of the point and shoot capabilities alone.

Zack and Wiki would be a pretty good example of the motion control application.

New super Mario brothers is a pretty good example of shared gaming.

Boom Blox is a pretty good example of pick up and play fun party games.

Only New Super Mario Bros. Wii have my interest and there is no way in hell I'm picking that up at full price. I'm not into point and click or lightgun games, and I've tried Boom Blox, it's not that great. But thanks for the input

Seeing as you have No More Heroes already on your list, I'm guessing that Desperate Struggle is unofficially on there as well.

Other than that... looking at your collection, here's what I suggest:

Dead Space - Dead Space Extraction (It's a great light gun shooter, if that's your thing. Also provides some back story into the DS universe)

LittleBigPlanet - New Super Mario Bros. Wii (It's 2D Mario goodness... I mean... that's reason enough right? )

MotorStorm - Mario Kart Wii (Frantic kart racing with great online support and 4 player local multiplayer. There's a reason why it's sold over 20 million)

Valkyria Chronicles - Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (if you enjoy SRPG's, you gotta try out Fire Emblem. It's gameplay mechanics are tried and true, and the characters themselves are fantastic)

@ NMH - Sort of, I can't be bothered to get excited until I try the first one out

@ DS - I have my eyes on it, but I'm not a lightgun fan, so I'm only gonna pick it up if I find dirt cheap.

@ LBP - Actually, I don't have any real interest in 2D Mario games. But I have my eyes on it no less, but as I told WilliamWatts, no way in hell I'll pick it up for at price

@ MS - Maybe, maybe not. I'm much more interested in getting ModNation Racers once it comes out, so Mario Kart might be a bit redundant

@ VC - I actually don't know if I enjoy SRPGs. I enjoyed VC, but I can hardly make generalisations across the genre from that one. I'll look into Fire Emblem though, thanks

Zelda: Twilight Princess
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Tiger Woods 2010 (If you're into sports games)
Resident Evil: REmake (It's awesome AND cheap)
Little King's Story (Very Unique and fun)
Muramasa: The Demon Blade

WiiWare:
LostWinds 1 + 2
World of Goo
Swords and Soldiers
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles games

Upcoming:

Tales of Graces
Metroid: Other M
No More Heroes 2 (Comes in 2 weeks)
SMG 2
Legend of Zelda Wii

I'll take a look. I'm curios about LKS, but I'm not a fan of RTSs...

@ dsister44

Yeah, I know. I plan on picking it up first thing when I have the cash
