^ Mechanics and gameplay-wise I thought it was a pretty poor game, especially for a Nintendo published title. I think even Nintendo said something similar (I think it was Reggie).
Edit: And I think MS and Sony do help 3rd parties with there games. Sony with their own devs working as consultants to help with the tech side and MS with its monies.
