Q3 statements aren't here yet, and technically even a 100k boost counts as 'any' boost. Every Nintendo spokesman that has been quoted on the 1.8 number has been within the past few weeks (as far as I know) and not back in August/September.
Numbers: Checker Players > Halo Players
Checkers Age and replayability > Halo Age and replayability
Therefore, Checkers > Halo
So, Checkers is a better game than Halo.
