Yes, the console will have been out 5 years by then, but releasing a new machine so soon will totally alienate consumers who bought the game in the previous, like, 3 years. You don't bring out a new console when the previous one is still doing so well. And unless Wii sales somehow come to a grinding halt in the next year or so, I can't see Nintendo seriously consodering bringing out a new machine. Why some people seem so hellbent on Nintendo releasing a new console so early is beyond me. |
I kind of agree with you but do you think Nintendo could provide good support to 2 home consoles for several years?
