I think that would have been a much better example of a Non-Main KH spin-off then CoM.

KH DS isn't a spin off since it connects with the story so it's a side story. Game isn't as important as BBS but still important as it connects to BBS and will connect to KH3...

BBS is directly related to the KH2 secret ending just as K2 was directly related to the KH1 secret ending.

I consider it the successor to the KH franchise easily.

More specifically the KH1 secret ending was more related to 358 rather than KH2 actually (besides KH2 FM+)...

I don't consider it a main game since it isn't numbered and Sora isn't the main character this time around (Nomura said KH was Sora's story)...doesn't stop it from being important and really good though and a game to hold us off until the next KH and KH3 or whatever.

Maybe it just me but I personally feel that Sora and Riku's story should end.

I can't see this franchise lasting long long Final Fantasy.
