I can't see the logic behind you saying this is 'hardly' going to turn the tides; as if to suggest this has no impact. 5 months ago, the Wii was outselling the ps3 6 to 1 in japan, now that situation has disappeared and the PS3 appears to be holding its own, selling moderately more or moderately less - at least within 5-10k of the Wii, above or below depending on which figures you trust. To me, thats a massive turnaround.
Whether or not this carries on through to christmas and beyond is yet to be seen, but its definately the beginning of a turn in the console wars, thats not to suggest the Wii is doomed, but its not as strong as it once was.
