He is not very good with keel smasher then...I am quite fast with it, and the range is crazy. Use sticky white stuff on it and hit the enemy while running with R2, boom. Even if hes not down, he will be pushed back. A hit from that baby and boom your opponent starts panicking.
And in case it doesn't work with opponents aware of it's effectiveness, switch to a blade (Blueblood sword, recommended, or a spear perhaps)...
What you do though, when facing an opponent, is not to show him your keel smasher yet. Equip a sword(good one) and just let him do what he does...if you see that he readies his wand, quickly switch to keel smasher( the most likely spell he will use is the dragon storm, damn deadly)...
Well it all depends on preferences but in my opinion , if you are opting for a very heavy sword, Keel Smasher may be the choice.
