Dude, it's an adventure game. Give it up. And I don't see why it's an insult to compare a game to Heavy Rain like it's some sort of garbage. I would say that it's not correct to compare two games of different genres.

But then again, you can argue that an RPG at its core is an adventure game with statistics based combat.

Since when in your mind did Heavy Rain become an action adventure game to you? Since when did Cage say it was? He stated in his mind he doesn't even think its a video game anymore. I've been in agreement with this since before he even said it.

Where in his post does it say ACTION adventure?

Quotes from David Cage in Game Informer:

"I dont think Heavy Rain belongs to the adventure genre, although it is about story and characters,"

"I dont know to what genre the game belongs."

What does that have to do with my question to you? Again, where is the word "action" mentioned?

That was my mistake since most adventure games today are action adventure, I just thought it would assume the general position. Anyway, Akvod was still wrong because Davd Cage said in his opinion adventure games are dead. I disagree....and adventure games are alive and well in the form of Alan Wake. Given it has a twist or horror and suspense. :)
