Come on... -_- this thread was revived jokingly and the first thing people do is start trying to save face for going gaga over the 1 million week... it's good sales yes, no one took away from that, if a few people find it funny that people went ape shit over Ps3 selling a million in a week, its not a big deal, it is kinda funny, best thing for those that did go crazy over the 1 million week is to take it in stride, go along with it like Carl did lol

Its not the first time that a fanbase as a whole made fools of themselves over something so small, see The Conduit.

The jokes aren't an issue, in fact I'm all for it, even going as far as apologizing to seece because we debated about it. But some of the comments were just asking for trouble. But, I'll drop it, as it's going off-topic anyway.

As for The Conduit:

Well some people are getting their ribbing in but people do get annoyed when others don't face the music, and as lazyrider pointed out, going as far as starting damage control.

The issue comes in when people that made a huge deal out of it and when they're proven wrong its no longer a big deal.  Honestly if I make an ass out of myself for going ZOMG MOD NATION RACERS WILL BE THE BEST GAME EVER!  And then it comes out and its not as good as I hoped, I'd go as far as to make fun of myself because I did act like an ass.  It really just boils down to admitting that you went a little nuts, having think skin to let a few people get some lulz, and go along with it and make fun of yourself for going nuts.
