IYO, what are the worst things this gen has brought to the table?

There are a lot of things mentioned here that was the case for previous generations.  The worst thing that has happened so far is hardware failure rates.   I am mainly talking about the XBOX 360, but I have seen it happen even with the DS.  Both myself and my best friend have had an original DS that has failed without inducing trama.
