Lol.....I'm sure many will hold you to that, as you will likely be proven wrong. Wasn't this same thing said of Uncharted 2? Yea, we saw how that turned out.

Refresh my memory, how did Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, R&C Future, Uncharted 1, Resistance 2, LittleBig Planet, Killzone 2 and inFamous "turn out"?
If anything, Uncharted 2 benefitted from the slim relaunch/momentum more than inherently pushing hardware itself. And given the middling NPD figures, I'd say even that's questionable for America.

We can surf through every excuse in the book. Doesn't change the fact that he said God of War III won't move "any" PS3 sales. What those other games were said to do/did is quite irrelevant. The majority of those titles I wasn't here to hear what they were "supposed" to do, but I don't see what relevance that has, at all.
And if Uncharted 2 benefited from the price/Slim/momentum, why wouldn't God of War? God of War is bigger franchise than Uncharted and the first for the series on PS3. Are you saying God of War won't move "any" PS3s?
|
Well, I don't disagree with "any". Hell, even Lair probably moved at least one PS3.
I'm saying GOW3 won't move significant numbers of PS3 hardware. I think the game itself will do okay though, and easily outsell it's predecessor (GOW2). Just like Uncharted 2 pretty much.
Also, I wasn't here for Uncharted 2's expectations, so you can count that game as equally "irrelevant" I guess. ;)

God of War Chains of Olympus would like to say hi!
|
What, the worst selling game in the series? The game who's developer abandoned the platform after finishing it? That GOW Chains of Olympus?
|
It moved hardware even if it's the worst selling game in the series.
|
Well, it moved with hardware. Sony has a habit of "bundling to success". ;)
