What place will the ps3 end up in at the end of this Gen?

Well, that would mean dropping from 200 bucks to 100 in fell swoop. That's unprecedented, nut not impossible, especially if Microsoft continues to see that price is the MAIN factor when competing with Sony.

Realistically, it is, because if the PS3 had launched at $299, we wouldn't be discussing a 3rd place PlayStation at this point. One thing that will make or break Microsoft more than price at this point is Natal.

I think that a $150/ $250 360  could equalize things, saleswise.  MS has also said that they will be making some changes in 2010 with the pricing, but we'll see I guess.  I think that it's really interesting that the PS3 is finally giving the 360 a run for its money, finally making it make some tough choices with pricing and so forth.  Cheers.
