I don't even have a PS3 (technically, I don't have a 360 either due to the rrod), but there is no doubt in my mind that MGS4 will be a BETTER game than Halo 3. Problem is, it won't be as accessable as Microsoft's pride and joy. Anyone can play Halo. Halo 3 was my first time playing the series, but I jumped right in and had a blast. Metal Gear, on the other hand, has a 20 year history. It may have a new conrol system-- I don't know--but it will be the evoloution of a scheme that began on the PS1 and evolved on the PS2. The storyline- regardless of how amazing it is-- is convoluted and probably intimidating for new comers.
Bottom line: Halo and it's sequels have outsold MGS every year since 2001. Nobody should expect Snake and his entourage to change that trend with it's newest addition selling on half the installed base. Still, I'm gonna buy a PS3 for this game. Everyone probably SHOULD play it!! Everyone won't.
