i hear you...I didn't know about the cling ring, and the first hour of demon soul today was me dying continuosly in one hit by tower boss...he'd throw his shield down and I'd see the shockwave and scream thinking it's a nuclear bomb. I grinded up found the cling ring and than beat the crap out of him.I find the level design and gameplay of Demon's soul to be superb. However at the same time I also feel like they tried to make it unnoob friendly...I culdn't understand the symbols for the longest time why not just use words like normal games. I learned about the lock on button 4 hours into the game, 6 hours in I realized if my equip was lower than half I could run faster than normal :/
