The best selling 2D nintendo FF sold 2.5 WW.

WW = WORLDWIDE

The least selling 3D sony FF sold 5.5 WW

I fail to see how what you say make any sense.

Best selling 2D nintendo FF sold 2.5 in Japan, not WW.

Worst selling 3D FF sold less than 2 in Japan.

...Okay.

FF6 Worldwide - 3.42m

FF9 Worldwide - 5.30m

That's still almost a 2 mil distance between the two.

That is, again, between the least selling 3D FF, and the best selling 2D FF.

Not to say that i'd like a 2D FF, but even if it sold 2 million less than a 3D one, the cost difference between the two would probably offset that.

The development cost of FF7 is estimated at around 45 million dollars, 8 and 9 are less than that, let's say, each of them is 30 million.

2 million difference in sales is something around 40 million, so the game will still make more money, and let's not fool ourselves that developing games for the SNES was free, okay?

And, ONCE AGAIN, this is taking the HIGHEST selling SNES game, and comparing it to the LEAST selling 3D FF, what will happen if I take the highest selling 3D FF? will we still be making this comparison?

And to fwap... I just wrote 15 lines of text trying to tell you why you are wrong, but it is pointless since you don't seem to try to understand anyway, i'm out of here.

Yeah, back then the SNES FFs would be pretty high-cost too. But fwap is talking about now i believe, how much would a 2D FF cost to make now compared to a 3D one.
