Like you, I couldn't find any info regarding amazon's share of consoles, games or peripherals sales - world wide or in any region.
I would take that 3% with some doubt until it has been confirmed.
Regardless it is not surprising nintendo dominates. With almost twice the sales of all the HD consoles and the ds on another planet, the market for nintendo add-ons and games is pretty big.
