naiyo said: I don't see the big deal... its a 2.5 side scroller that only do two things: Jump and Attack with mid level graphics and only 4 PLAYERS. If the 4 people have a decent connection i don't see the problem with lag... and if you do because of someone else connection then you could just find another online player or just play offline with a friend next to you. Nintendo could have made the best of both worlds. Why do ppl hate one or the other? Just put both in. |
I remember people complaing about playing VC mario games on some TVs that would create a very small lag, single player games at that, so I do think it's a valid point.

That has nothing at ALL to do with online. Seriously, it wasn't that big of an issue, onlibne lag. Nintendo could have made it online without many problems. The reason they didn't is they didn't feel like it. Unless there's a really good reason they didn't. |
Nothing to do with online, but lag is lag, and it was a lot smaller in that case (the TVs one) and on a simpler design (just a single player), so it's very much relevant.
Also, edited last post, read that :)

My post was meant to be intentionally confusing and not make sense. Also, Nintendo can't cater to the demands of every player's needs because their TV sucks. Online was not difficult to implement. |
Uh, ok. Also, the bolded make sno sense either, right?
And I'm trying to tell you why I believe online wouldn't be as simple as you say, you're just saying "no, it would". We won't go very far like that :P

The only reason single-player non-online games would lag is because either the TV sucks or the game is in bad condition. Nintendo can't help there and it is pretty much virtually a non-existant issue. |
Of course, but my point is that such a low amount of lag, on a simpler enviroment (that is, lower than a online game would have, and without other players interacting unpredictably) is actually a problem for players, what makes you thing it wouldn't be MUCH worse on a online NSMB Wii?
