its hard to say, The high sales at the moment could be panic buying due to the worry of Wii-like shortages. They're already becoming hard to find where i live. If the sudden spike was basically the 'loose' stocks all being eaten up, then theres the possibility that nintendo will struggle to even produce that many if there was such demand.
One think I am certain of, its going to be a very happy Christmas at nintendo.
