PSP Slim reaches 1 million mark in Japan earlier than the original PSP

PSP sales have really spiked which is great for Sony. The only thing that I wonder is it new customers or existing owners just upgrading? I think it will be a mixture of both. The slim is no doubt alot more attractive to the consumer market then that shocking Phat PSP was.
