Also keep in mind there was a major development shift towards the Wii after E3 2006, and probably more coming on since it's outselling every other console like crazy.
Compound that with how ridiculously cheap it is to develop for as opposed to the 360 and PS3. Huge and rapidly growing player base+cheaper production. You'd have to be a complete idiot not to make at least a game or 2 for the system at this point.
I imagine a lot of great games are going to pop up over the next 18 months, and most likely with no more than 3 months of hype time.
The Yamauchi "WE HATE 3RD PARTIES" days of Nintendo are over, thankfully.
