They use 6 spe's. Basicly its like using 1 entire PS3. The thing is that they are running linux on the ps3 as well, and they can only use 2 SPE's per console. Whats impressive? The graphics card(RSX) is not being used at all. Just the cell, its rendering a full 3d car. Wihtout the graphics card. Imagine if you add tht power to the graphics card. |
You should read Entroper's response, but I'll highlight the important part for you:

In the begginning of the video the guy says he is using 2 SE'S from each of the 3 PS3's whcih = 6. Watch the vid.
