The best parallel I can think of is Bioshock, as both are relatively shooty games with puzzles and shallow RPG elements. Sales might be a bit better, since the install base will be way higher, it'll be the first RE on an Xbox, and there probably won't be a game as huge as Halo 3 releasing right after it. Certainly a million seller, but 3 million is just pure fantasy.

I also wouldn't call anything except GT5, MGS4 and FF13 a guaranteed million seller on the PS3, after virtually all guaranteed million sellers this year sold only 500k or so.

These games are proven top sellers that will release on a much larger install base. If any of those games sold less than a million on the PS3 I would go crazy.
