Actually I don't think a lot of current owners really care about Milo or Kate, which is why Natal is going to have problems. Any success Natal has is going to be based on current owners, which is why they need to have a good price and good games at launch. Like I said, the Wii has won the casual market. And they are not going to pay $200 (for an Arcade, if Natal doesn't need the HDD that is) and most likely ~$100 for a camera, just for casual games.
And as far as Wii Sports goes, it wasn't the game that roped people in, but the fact that it used the Wii's new controllers wisely. Well, that and the fact that it came heavily bundled with the Wii. But do you honestly think that without the Wii's control setup, Wii Sports would have been such a hit? Of course not, it would have just been another sports game.
Also, how can the PS3 Wands be a copy off of the Wii-motes when Sony had something very similar in development for the PS2's EyeToy? I will admit, however, that the success of the Wii has inspired them to actually follow through with the Wands. But, the truth still remains that the Wands are just an improvement of an earlier design. And I wouldn't talk about Sony when it comes to rush jobs. That discussion should be held for another company. "Well here it is, BAM!!"
