What happened to the most underrated developer of the 2000s?

AVP2 is the scariest fucking game ever made. I mean seriously... Granted only the third as the marine, but holy fucking shit. you don't need supernatural stuff in your games to make you shit your pants.

THE FUCKING MOTION SENSOR WAS THE WORST! What a useless piece of junk....

 

Edit: It's still the scariest thing you will see in a game. Also I'm sad that the new AVP will probably suck the big one. Probably has console design choices (like FEAR 2 did, look at how that turned out) stuck so far up its ass that it is beyond all hope of salvage.
