As Koweniki previously stated, Japan despite a massive population in comparison to the UK is failing in terms of home console sales which is the bulk of this sites origins. Obviously you know that Japan isn't bigger region than America? Right? Ok im sorry for presuming that you are aware of the size of Japan. Here is a world Map for your convinience:

So what, home console sales are the only thing that matters? The DS sells tons of software and has more million sellers than any other console, so why should it be discounted? So that you can cherrypick certain facts and pretend to have a strong argument? Nah-uh. Japan stills sells a ton of software and hardware, and the type of games that sell in the UK are generally the same types of games that sell in either the Americas or the rest of Europe.
