If a game bombs in NA, EU or Japan it can seriously hurt a developer, and determine the succes or failure of a game.
If a game bombs in the UK, then.. it bombed in the UK.. not nice, will hurt sales, just like bombing in Germany and France would hurt, but no way problematic like bombing in NA, EU or Japan.
The UK is just a region, as I also showed with those figures in my last post.
