perpride said: Take it from someone who has now played both games: Bayonetta does not even come close to God of War. You're doing the right thing holding out for Kratos. I disagree with the OP so much I don't even know where to begin. I actually have Bayonetta for 360 thing too that's the funny. It's a great game, but nowhere near perfect. It ranks as a good new hack and slash, but to me it's no better than Devil May Cry. |
So.....it's nowhere near as good as God of War, what? 1?
You want to give some reasoning behind your opinion. I mean, maybe you should clear your statements up a little. Is it your user preference that makes you favor God of War? Do you imply that the gameplay in God of War is deeper than that of Bayonetta?
Mostly, I find that users like yourself prefer presentation, character, and story, to in depth japanese style combo systems, and that is the main difference between the two different subgenres. Some often mistake this as a quality difference, but it is actually a difference in user preference, as the developers actually focused on different things when creating the two games.
Thank your lucky stars for DMC though, because without it, GoW wouldn't exist in its current form. Ironically, the creator of DMC also created Bayonetta.
In the end, the game has the pedigree, user reviews, and critical reception to mark it down as a must play for action fans, GoW inferiority complexes not withstanding.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
