It's an impossibly hard PS3 game that many praise for its sense of achievement gained from surmounting its amazingly difficulty obsticles. If you like a challenge, it's a good RPG, made by a Japanese company. However, it is not a JRPG. As Ubisoft recently demonstrated, JRPG is a genre of games that share many similar traits, and a JRPG is NOT a statement on the physical country the game was developed in, or the ethnicity of its developers. Demon's Souls is contrarily, a WRPG made in Japan. The story, like SotC, is made up of mostly atmosphere and brief backstory, as the game is about very challenging gameplay and excellent atmosphere and graphics. I thought it was pretty good, but I can also see a lot of people getting very very frusterated with it. I recommend it to hardcore gamers only.
